Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our premium ceremonial grade matcha.
What is the difference between ceremonial and culinary grade matcha?
Our ceremonial grade matcha is made from the youngest tea leaves, stone-ground to a fine powder for a smooth, delicate flavor intended to be whisked with water. Culinary grade is bolder and slightly more astringent, making it perfect for lattes, smoothies, and baking.
How should I store my Nami Matcha to keep it fresh?
Matcha is sensitive to light, heat, and oxygen. We recommend keeping your tin tightly sealed in a cool, dark place. For maximum freshness, many customers prefer storing their opened tins in the refrigerator.
Where is your matcha sourced from?
Nami Matcha is proudly sourced from sustainable, family-owned tea farms in Uji and Shizuoka, Japan. We ensure every batch is tested for purity and quality.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days. Domestic shipping usually takes 3-5 business days, while international shipping can take 7-14 business days depending on the destination.
What is your return policy?
Due to the perishable nature of food products, we cannot accept returns on opened matcha. However, if your order arrived damaged or if you received the wrong item, please contact us within 14 days for a full refund or replacement.
Does Nami Matcha contain caffeine?
Yes, matcha naturally contains caffeine. However, because it also contains L-theanine, an amino acid that promotes relaxation, most people experience a steady energy boost without the 'jitters' or crash often associated with coffee.
